Our Sunday School program is offered to children grades Pre-Kindergarten to 8th grade. Classes are held each Sundays from 11 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. in the parish school building. Students learn about and explore their Catholic faith through interactive classes with a catechist. Registration begins in late spring. Classes begin in September and continue into April. Integrated into the curriculum is a Human Sexuality component to better help students understand their God-given uniqueness in our world. First Reconciliation & First Eucharist: Children in grades 2 and up are invited to take part in these programs. Registration begins in September with a parent meeting. The Preparation program includes at-home lessons done by the parents, workshops at church, interviews with the director of Children’s Ministry and prayer partners with Confirmation candidates. Families may choose between a group experience or individual celebrations for both sacraments. More information is available on our First Reconciliation Page and on our First Eucharist Page.
The Nursery Co-op is a parent run program for children 6 months to 4 years old. Children are invited to play in the lower church as their parents attend mass up-stairs. This program is offered at the 8 am, 9:30 am and 11:15 am Sunday masses. More information is available on our Printable Nursery Co-op Page.
CLOW takes place each Sunday morning at the 9:30 Mass in the lower church for school aged children. The children are lead out of Mass at the beginning of the Liturgy of the Word and taken down stairs. They listen to an age-appropriate presentation of the days’ readings and participate in an interactive discussion regarding the scripture message. Children return to Mass at the Offertory.
Do you have young children at home? Come join us for fellowship and fun! The St. Pius X Moms' Group welcomes all parishioners who have children from 0-4 to join us on Thursday mornings from 10-12. The group meets from October to May. New people are always welcome at playgroup! It is a great way to make new friends, become more connected with the parish, and give your children a chance to get to know other St. Pius children! Printable Mom's Group Calendar.
Join us Wednesday mornings in the lower church from 10 – 11:30 for a bible story, craft, snack and song. Volunteers wanted to assist with reading the bible stories, preparing the crafts and making snacks. Printable Bible Story Calendar.
